The Context

Mazorda is a senior-led GTM studio working with B2B SaaS and data companies. We design and run practical go-to-market systems across demand, RevOps, automation, and AI-powered workflows.

We also build internal automation products and tools: content pipeline systems, competitor intelligence, enrichment engines, and AI-powered workflows that we use daily and ship to clients.

We're looking for a GTM Engineer to own the systems that power our GTM work, internally and for clients. Someone who thinks in workflows, lives in Clay, automates with intent, and gets genuinely excited about what LLMs can do for go-to-market.

The Role

This is the commercial systems lane at Mazorda.

You'll own the GTM infrastructure: enrichment flows, scoring logic, outbound orchestration, CRM automations, and AI-powered workflows that connect signals to revenue. You'll work across Clay, n8n, CRMs, data stores, and LLM APIs to build systems that are reliable, documented, and actually used.

This is not a software engineering role. It's a GTM engineering role. You'll use low-code and no-code tools as your primary instruments, with light scripting (Node or Python) when the tools are not enough. The person who writes production software sits on the dev side. You sit on the commercial side, closer to pipeline, clients, and GTM strategy.

You'll split your time roughly 50/50 between internal systems and client implementations.

What You'll Do

Systems & Automation

  • Design, build, and improve GTM systems across demand gen, RevOps, and outbound workflows.
  • Build and maintain automations using n8n (preferred), Zapier, or Make.
  • Work deeply with Clay for enrichment, scoring, routing, and orchestration.
  • Integrate with CRMs: HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or whatever the client uses.
  • Work with data stores like Google Sheets, Airtable, Supabase, or databases.
  • Improve existing systems first, then propose better architectures as you learn the landscape.

AI & LLM Workflows

  • Design and implement LLM-powered workflows using APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
  • Write effective prompts: structured outputs, few-shot examples, and validation logic.
  • Build AI steps into automation flows via n8n, Clay, or direct API calls.
  • Understand when AI adds value and when it only adds latency and cost.
  • Stay current with new models, capabilities, and GTM-relevant AI tools.

Documentation & Communication

  • Write clear documentation, diagrams, and playbooks for every system you build.
  • Turn one-off solutions into repeatable patterns.
  • Flag blockers early, share progress without being asked, and think out loud in Slack.
  • Support client implementations, mostly behind the scenes, occasionally client-facing when useful.

Who This Is For

You're probably right for this if you:

  • Have built or significantly improved GTM, RevOps, or automation systems in a real environment, not just tutorials.
  • Know Clay well enough to have opinions about it.
  • Can wire up an n8n workflow, connect it to an API, and debug it when it breaks.
  • Have used LLM APIs (not just ChatGPT): called them from tools, handled structured outputs, and dealt with edge cases.
  • Write light Node or Python when tools hit limits, but are not trying to be a software developer.
  • Document your work because you've felt the pain of undocumented systems.
  • Are proactive about communication: share updates, flag risks, and do not disappear.

Strong mid-level candidates with real hands-on experience are welcome. We'd rather have someone with 2-3 years of genuine building experience than someone with 7 years of dashboard configuration.

Senior candidates should be able to design systems independently and save the team time through better planning and sharper decisions.

Experience in B2B SaaS, agencies, or both is relevant.

What You Won't Be Doing

  • Writing production-grade software (we have a dev team for that).
  • Managing people.
  • Sitting in status meetings all day.
  • Building things nobody asked for.

What Mazorda Is Like to Work With

We're a small, senior team. No account managers, no layers. You'll work directly with the founder and a tight group of specialists across PPC, SEO, content, and AI engineering.

We're direct. We document everything. We pay for trial tasks. We do not ghost candidates. If something is not working, we say so and expect the same from you.

The work is real: internal products, client systems, automation that runs every day. Not decks about automation. Actual automation.

Engagement

  • Part-time or full-time, depending on fit and availability.
  • Remote-first, timezone-flexible.
  • Approx. 50% internal systems, 50% client implementations.
  • Paid trial task as part of the hiring process.
  • Preference for a long-term working relationship.

Compensation

Flexible and discussed openly. Please include your preferred structure and expected rate.
